A Service Centre complex was built on one of the major Expressway out of Sydney. The Service Centre complex consists of two sections, one on either side of the Expressway with separate refuelling areas for trucks and cars, separated parking areas, restaurants, giftshops, and workshops.

Consultant A set a night time LA10 noise criteria of 42dB(A), and recommended a kilometre of high noise barriers. The oil company building the Service Centres approached CAMETS to independently review all aspects of the project. Following the review, Consultant A was dismissed from the project and the project was completed using CAMETS.

Table 1 shows a summary of the predictions, assessment, criteria, and testing of the Service Centres from inception through to completion.
